Syndicated daytime talk show Drew Barrymore is slated to launch in fall 2020 on CBS stations – deadline
CBS Television Distribution is moving forward with a syndicated daytime talk show hosted by actress Drew Barrymore, which is on track for a fall 2020 launch.
CBS television stations, which make up 38% of the United States, have signed on as an anchor station group to launch the new show. This includes flagship products WCBS-TV in New York and KCBS-TV in Los Angeles.
The pickup comes less than two months after Barrymore shot down a pilot for the potential speaker in New York City. Barrymore had long been interested in headlining a daytime talker. She struck up conversations with Warner Bros. in 2016 for a syndicated talk show, but the project never progressed.
