Steph McGovern’s Channel 4 Steph’s Packed Lunch show recommended for 2022

Steph’s take-out lunch hosted by Steph McGovern from Middlesbrough will continue to air on Channel 4 throughout 2022.

The lunchtime show – which brings viewers a daily dose of entertainment and news with celebrity guests, recipes from renowned chefs and real-life stories – will continue to be broadcast live from Leeds Dock.

It was first launched when the first lockdown began in March 2020 as The Steph Show, live from Steph’s house.

In September 2020, it was renamed Steph’s Packed Lunch. Since returning after the 2021 summer break, the average audience share of 3.2 percent, double compared to the same period last year.

Steph said: “I love making Steph’s packed lunch! It’s so nice to work alongside my fabulous on-screen family and the incredible team that comes together so hard behind the scenes.

“Together we have done great things that I am really proud of; to encourage women to take a smear test – I even got mine live on TV!

“We have addressed so many real issues that affect all of our lives, hosted so many great celebrities at Leeds Dock and met so many inspiring people. I have no doubts that we will continue to do so next year!”

TV host Steph will continue to be joined by famous faces such as Anton du Beke, Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, John Whaite, Denise van Outen, Freddy Forster and Gareth Thomas.

Jo Street, Head of Daytime and Features for Channel 4, said: “We are delighted that Steph’s daily live show has doubled its audience share over the past year. The series has grown and developed so much and we can’t wait for viewers to see the sequel to the talented Leeds Dock team.

The show will continue to be produced by Expectation and Can Can Productions.

Steph’s Packed Lunch airs weekdays on Channel 4 from 12:30 p.m.
