Kelly Clarkson is expected to take over Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show spot when Ellen ends in 2022.
The show – run by the comic book – will wrap up production next year and it has now been confirmed that Kelly’s eponymous talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show will occupy the coveted mid-afternoon slot.
Clarkson’s show has been a runaway success since its launch, winning Emmy Awards in its very first season.
While chat show veteran Ellen confirmed this month that her long streak will end next year.
Announcing the new development, NBCUniversal Local President Valari Staab said, âThese are remarkable accomplishments for a talk show in its second season. We look forward to the 19th season of Ellen DeGeneres paired with Kelly Clarkson for what is sure to be a successful year.
âBy 2022, the Kelly Clarkson Show will be the star of our daytime entertainment programs and an asset to our early afternoon news broadcasts. “

Ellen previously revealed that she had always intended to retire from the show after Season 19.
âTwo years ago I signed a contract for three more years and I always knew in my heart that Season 19 would be my last. I want you to know that I have given this decision a lot of thought. during. I meditated on it, âshe told fans.
However, the 63-year-old star insisted she wasn’t stopping over allegations of a toxic work environment on set.
