ITV This Morning viewers think they heard a ‘nasty word’ on the show
ITV This Morning viewers are angry as resident chef Clodagh McKenna exercises her potty mouth on the daytime show live for the second time. The mistake came as she told hosts Vernon Kay and Josie Gibson an anecdote about a time she got into trouble while working on a country estate.
In the story, Clodagh puts perfectly good food, the cooked brown bits at the bottom of a pan, in the dishwasher when they can actually make a really good sauce. The owner of the house came and asked aloud who had done it.
Acting up, Clodagh put on a loud voice and asked, “Who put that in the dishwasher?!” The Irish chef was so caught up in her story that she reacted by saying “and I was like ‘oh shit that was me!'”
ITV This Morning fans call Josie Gibson and Vernon Kay ‘perfect’ to be ‘permanent hosts’
As soon as the words leave her mouth, she looks like she regrets saying the mean word, covering her mouth and turning to her co-hosts for help. However, as many fans loved it, the chef continued to talk as if nothing had happened.
Any hopes she had of covering up the slip-up were dashed when Vernon Kay stepped in and said, “Obviously we apologize for your language.” The Chief tried to protest “I said shoot” but Vernon had none of it.
With a smirk, he ended his attempt to evade his use of the naughty word saying “we know what you said”. The trio handled it with good humor and eventually, Clodagh apologized.
However, not all fans were so forgiving. One reacted by saying: ‘Can someone tell Clodagh that his bad language was good, that was how sarcastic his apology was.
It’s not the first time the Irish chef has been caught swearing this morning. Last year she swore after spilling a load of cocktails and was again forced to apologize.
